PART 1
Hey there! I'm Leo.
onionkid began as a passion project — a way for me to blend my background in creative with my love for food. I’ve always wanted to build something that felt personal, and crispy shallots were the perfect starting point.
I grew up eating them with everything, so it felt like a natural first product. Familiar, flavorful, and full of nostalgia.
PART 2
What started as a small batch kitchen project quickly turned into something more meaningful. I’ve learned that food isn’t just about what’s on the plate — it’s about connection. It brings people together, it tells stories, and it creates memories.
PART 3
Building onionkid taught me that storytelling lives at the heart of food, and that’s something I want to keep exploring.
That’s why we’re expanding onionkid into video production — helping restaurants and F&B brands tell their story and their 'why'. From steamy noodle pulls to the perfect ASMR bites, we create content that’s not just tasty, but true to who you are.
Whether it's a dish, a vibe, or a deeper message, we’re here to bring it to life in a way that feels genuine and joyful.
PART 4
At the core, onionkid has always been about the joy of creating — whether that’s crafting the most delicious food or telling a story through content. That mission hasn’t changed.
As we grow, we’re simply expanding the ways we share that joy. We’re here to celebrate creativity, flavor, and the people behind it all.
Thanks for being part of the ride. Let’s make things crispy.

a translation of the Indonesian phrase "anak bawang," which refers to a person, typically the youngest in a group, who is inexperienced and often underestimated. This person is usually very cheerful and full of joy, as they tend to focus on having fun despite their lack of knowledge.
"The name onionkid symbolizes the happiness and thrill that come with trying new things. It's a reminder to always have fun, let loose, and embrace the unknown." -Leo
